2026 State Nominations Thread

If there’s even one candidate whose overall credentials are better than yours, you should consider the district competitive. Simple as that. In a typical year, a MOC has only one slot allocated to them per SA. Doesn’t mean only one candidate from the district will get in, but that’s the easiest way to think of competitiveness.

Appointments or noms? Gotta guess noms at this point otherwise I’d assume some of them may have appts some still pending at this point in the calendar, no?

UPDATE: never mind. I see now it was prior year (2020) and was released in May so probably was appts.

I have no idea how my post ended up on this thread :)
 
Today DS received a nom. letter in the mail from Rep G. Connolly for USMMA. Earlier this week he was also informed by a phone call from Senator Kaine's office of his nomination to USNA. And Senator Warner emailed him even earlier in December. His other HS friends received their responses as well. So I believe VA-11 has distributed all or most of MOC nominations for 2022.
 
Does anyone know when Senator Gillibrand releases her decisions for nominations? I had an interview with the panel on December 9. I saw on her website she had posted her decisions for Long Island on January 14, 2021. If anyone interviewed with her or has heard back please let me know! Thank you!

Considering January 14th hasnt happened yet, I dont think anyone has.

That was when she posted them last year. I don't know how she notifies nominees though. Would anyone know if its an email or phone call and how soon it would be?
