Anyone know when TN Senators release their nomination picks?
My interview board said that they were meeting with the other boards in about 3 weeks. I suspect the nominations will be released sometime around mid-end of December.

a principal nom is when they rank the candidates 1 to 10 with #1 guaranteed an appointment (usually) provided the candidate checks off all the requirements for admission
interesting. I found that Toomey's guy was a lot more lax compared to Casey's. It was a lot of advice giving about the future and how to succeed at a SA, compared to Casey's which was a lot of grilling.

Casey’s board didn’t exactly grill me with questions, but Toomey’s guy stopped after each question/answer and gave advice for future interviews. Super helpful for sure.

Could depend on which SA you were interviewing for. There are different panels for each SA for the Senators. That way they can divide them up and get eveyrone interviewed in a timely manner. Your MOC probably uses the same board for all SAs.

What district are you btw? And yea, Toomeys guy asked me like one question, and I guess he liked my response that he just gave me advice for 10-15 minutes.

I thought the same thing. Casey grilled me for 15 minutes stright and toomey was more like a Q and A

You're welcome! Same to you! Just curious, what district are you from and have you received that congressional nomination yet?
District 02, yourself? My interview is the 16th, and supposedly it's one on one with the congressman! Not at all stressed lol

I'm from District 08. I interviewed with my congressman about a month back and heard that I received his nomination within a week of the interview! Wow knowing that is pretty nerve racking! You've got it though; just be yourself! Which academy are you applying to?

Oh nice! I have family that lives out there.
Also, congratulations! That's amazing! I'm applying to USAFA this year, I've been finished with the application stuff since September and its down to nominations now. I really hope you get appointed to your preferred academy!

The staffer for my congressman emailed me this morning asking for the best way to contact me since she tried calling my international number (I live overseas) but it wouldn't go through. Is this a good or a bad sign at all? I know that some MOCs like to call their applicants to tell them they received a nom, but do they ever actually call you to tell you that you haven't received a nom from them? Just worried and stressed since I haven't heard anything else from my congressman yet.

Thank you! I'm all completed with my USAFA application too, so I'm just waiting to hear back from senators, DoDMERB, and the academy themselves. Good luck with the interview and I hope you get an appointment as well. Let's hope we can meet each other in Colorado Springs next year!
