2026 State Nominations Thread

Has anybody received any communication from TX-24 regarding nominations, or did y’all just get an update in the application portal for one of the service academies without any communication?

We are from TX-16 and they called my DS last week on Friday, the nomination showed up on portal today. My DS checked other districts in TX to see how they will update since he was not getting an answer and he found out some just update the portal.

Yes it is possible. DS was rejected by Congressional rep and jr. Senator early in the process. Received nom from sr. Senator judges st before Jan. 31 deadline. Good luck to you and your son.

Thanks for reply. Thankfully my son received emails notifying him he was nominated to USNA and USMA from Kilmer WA6 yesterday. He was elated. Time to move on to next step.

Congratulations on your nominations!!! I think I remember you also got one from Inhofe? Where are you hoping for appointment?

I mainly posted about his nom. because when searching for "Oklahoma" hoping to see, in years past, when Oklahoma Senators had announced their nominations. I was disappointed that there weren't many hits on for "Oklahoma" so I posted for so future Moms from Oklahoma would get at least one result!!! LOL

Hello. I’m a little confused, you never heard from senators so you did not get interviewed with either but received rejection from one? Did they confirmed that your application for nomination was received? As far as MOC Has anyone else in your district applied to the same one? Did they hear back, how they received communication, mail, email, phone call? Look in your spam folder, if nothing there o will call Monday first thing.

I sent in nomination app to both State senators. One replied, automated, acknowledging. After that no more communication. Then I applied for nomination to MOC, district rep (wa6). I was assigned interview Dec 4th. Then on Jan 28th I was emailed a rejection email from one of the Senators, Bummer! Then the following day, Jan 29th, the district 6 rep, Kilmer emailed me with two emails notifying me I was nominated to both USNA and USMA, Yay! Went from upsetness to happiness. Hope that answers your questions.

I don't know if anyone else heard back. Right now my portal shows USNA nomination received, my first choice. Now I wait for next step of Appointment, fingers crossed. Hopefully my LOA helps with that.

can you get a nomination before jan 31st but then it doesn't show up in portal until sometime in feb? waiting on senators but I already got one from local house of reps MN-03
