Didn't know where to post this thread but thought that these cadets deserve the recognition.

Congrats to these cadets. But I thought that Cadets couldnt wear uniforms outside of the training/school. Any thoughts?

It could be that the academy/military sees this as a marketing opportunity and therefore wants the uniforms worn. There are certainly plenty of times something like this happens. I attended a middle school graduation for my nephew recently. The keynote speaker was an Ensign who had graduated from the Naval Academy the year before, and had graduated from that same middle school 8 years earlier. Of course she was in uniform. And for al I know all of this may be within guidelines... just want to point out where exceptions might make sense.

Well one thing's for sure, they will be noticed when they get to their command. A lot of questions from the enlisted, probably even celebrity status (Maybe called the unit's Elvis).

I would assume they got permission.
They represented the uniform extremely well. So proud of them!

Understand that the group had permission to be away from USAFA for sometime in May to record for the TV show. Also that one of the Seniors was instrumental in getting the group to the level needed to perform for the show. Sounded to me like he's a dedicated & energetic leader. Hat's off to him & the entire group!

Yes, fantastic job to those Cadets, even from the first audition. I thought that the bald judge was a little too critical, I think he said it had too much coreography, I mean yeah, but they sang good though. But who know the future, they could perform for the USO. Maybe even West Point and USNA might compete, I understand how competitive the Academies are with one another.

I would also like to comment that there are plenty of YouTube channels hosted by officers and enlisted personnel. That's where I get my info most of the time since they are more recently in/out of service. Do not mean to insult the Veterans on this forum, your wisdom is as much more valuable. Thought I should put this out for those researching a path to commissioning/enlisting.

They have had the support of USAFA and the CofS of the USAFA; my classmate, Dave "Fingers" Goldfein.

And...one of the singers...was my candidate a couple of years ago!!! SO cool to email him about this!!!
