Yes, but I don't know how many (I'll guess 500?) from the wait list will receive appointments. If you applied for this year, and you haven't recieved an appointment already, you're probably on the wait list.

I don't have an answer for their question, but I do know that basically all if not all principle nominations and those chosen to fill MOC slots have already received their appointments.

If not all of the MOC slots are filled yet, how are you so sure I'm on the waitlist? :/

I'm not 100% certain, but I feel that those MOC slots have already been given their appointments and all that's left are the waitlisted and falcons. I don't know anything for sure!

DS just "stalked" after school...SMNE. That's ok, though--he has a ton of homework, plus he's refereeing two soccer games so this would just be a distraction! :wink:

I think one of the moderators had said that (judging from previous years) only about 10% of appointees will show up on this forum. So if the USAFA appointment thread shows 55 (today), that would be 550 appointees to date. My GUESS is that is pretty close. More appointments (and phone calls) will come out this week I'm sure. The USNA appointment thread has 79 and has pretty much dried up. I 'spect the same will happen here.

So...another week (or two) of scaring the mailman. Be careful you don't become the recipient of a protective order! :shake:

My DS's call to our MOC Academy Rep on Friday am, didn't have the same outcome... But at least I know nothing good will be in the mail this week. I'll probably have to call again after the next board (if there is another board), just to help keep a little sanity in the house.

Oh and I didn't post in the Appt Thread - I stay here in MBST - it's my home for now.

I know of 5 recipients from Rhode Island.
2 Senators & 2 Representatives One of the Representatives had 2 openings available for the upcoming year. As far as I know they have all received BFE's. I guess they are not on this forum. So I guess the total known appointments so far would be 59. My son was already on the list.

Trust me, I was a child and Dad had contol of the only TV in the house!

I preferred watching Tim Conway and Harvey Korman trying their best not to burst into laughter at themselves on the Carol Burnette Show. :wink:

OK - Dumbest question out there right now is "Have you heard"... why is this dumb you ask? I get asked 100+ times a week (I see a lot of people each week through various organizations i'm a part of).

If I know you WILL KNOW too! I won't be able to shut up about it! You'll want to sedate me from my constant chatter (for your sanity). I'll have a perma-grin, i'll be bouncing off the walls - heck you might find me on the ceiling! or at least on a roof top - shouting it to anyone who will listen! I promise it will be a facebook post!

Bottom line - stop asking - because BELIEVE YOU ME - it will not be a secret!!

Oh and if it's a "No Go" - that'll be pretty obvious in my demeanor as well (and a Facebook Post).
 
My DD just got the call!!!!! She is still in shock and does not feel like it will be real until the BFE arrives.
FYI - we live in MA and nothing on her portal has changed.

We have all heard so much about when the BFE's will be mailed, but I heard the same thing that was posted on here earlier. A representative from MOC's office called today and said that the board met and decided last week. They did give MOC's, senators, coaches, etc. this week to call. She said that BFE's will be mailed on the 28th. She also said, as most of you know, that this will not be the end of the list. She said that there will more than likely be more after this initial mailing. But, she had the information that they would be mailed on the 28th. Here's hoping for the best for everyone waiting!!
