I am currently a High School sophomore, about to be junior, and I am set on going to college on a ROTC scholarship. I have a 3.9 GPA, and I am yet to take either the ATC or SAT. Although I am sure that I would be able to pass the SAT and ACT requirements for the two tests, but my concern is elsewhere. Along with ROTC I would like to play football in college, I play offensive line so I am a big person, about 220 5 ft 10, and the ROTC scholarship has specific weight requirements for students. I know that these requirements are to ensure that the student is in prime physical shape, but I know that I am and will be in good shape because of my sport. So will I still be eligible for the scholarship, also what is it like balancing a sport and ROTC. Thanks!
