Received a nomination to USNA. Worried about my chances of being accepted though and noticed the application deadline to USMMA was extended. Have not applied yet as I wasn’t really considering it until now. How would the nomination process work? Is it too late in the game to even think about? I already have plan B established….last minute thought. Advice?
USMMA requires a nomination but does not accept presidential nominations. What I would recommend to you is to appl to the school and see if you get in. After that, you can tell them that you do not have a nomination but that you would really like to attend the school. If they want you to attend as well, then they'll give you a special nomination from the school itself. It's EXTREMELY rare for this to happen but you never know.
Good Luck!

I agree with the recommendation to contact USMMA Admissions in the no-stone-unturned vein.

Unlike the DoD SAs, I do not believe USMMA has any noncongressional nominations, but it looks like they do have 40 Superintendent’s discretionary noms. See page 7-8 at link below, including footnotes.

Contact USMMA - they will know ground truth, of course, more authentic than what you find on an unofficial Internet forum, including from posters like me.

His offer is his offer until he meets or does not meet all conditions specified in the LOA. Medical issues can go up to the wire in late spring getting resolved.
My kid got a senator nomination from Padilla (CA) and also our MOC Eric Swalwell for USNA and Westpoint. We know that the moc nomination is a principal nomination, he stated it in his letter. He received an LOA this week from Navy, but he reported every single time he went to the hospital since he was a baby so now he has a billion things to address with the medical board, including past history of anemia and childhood asthma. (I was an overprotective/overworried parent that brought the kid in for everything.) Does anyone have any experience with this type of thing? I know he’s working on getting these things resolved, but what happens if it takes a while for someone to approve him, or he needs a waiver? Does his spot get released to the next guy in line?
Did you ever receive any communication from Senator Padilla's office or did you find out from the portal?

DId the nominations come in?
Senator Warren's team said, as he already received a nomination from our Congressman, that she would not give him one. Senator Markey's team simply decided not give him their nomination. Still waiting hoping for an appointment.

Have any of you received a nomination notification for USNA from SC Tim Scott, Nancy Mace or Lindsey Graha
I got a No from Tim Scott in December by email. On Jan 31st my BGO told me I got one for USNA from Graham, but I have yet to receive anything from his office. In my portal it only has one I received from Joe Wilson in December

DS received nominations for USNA from Scott, Graham and Mace. Never received any communication from Graham, just showed in portal. Received appointment last week, but was not contacted so don’t know on what slate he was accepted. Would love to find out.

That is awesome. Hoping I get an appointment! Congratulations!

I saw that our Congressman released a press release that he had nominated 30 candidates across the 4 SA. I did not know that was even possible. Still learning.
