Wouldn’t the noms have been posted to the portals already - and if you got a nom, you’d know?

It’s sad that MOC aren’t more efficient and effective to the people wanting to serve our country.

I anticipate that I did not get the nomination, but during my interview the staffer emphasized "no news is no news." So, my expectations are low, but nevertheless I am still curious about this nomination and disappointed in the lack of communication.

@USNAismyplace @MADad I have had the same problem with Markey's office. I already know I recieved a nomination because the USMA portal is fairly up to date, I dont know how often they update the USNA portal. I never recieved a phone call, email, or mail from his office. As @USNAismyplace said "no news is no news" I would not stress over it. You are not out of luck.

I know this is old...question...do you remember if it was 61 or 62 on your daughter's portal? My DS has two nominations on his portal from the same senator but we have no idea which senator it is. I know it doesn't really matter but it's killing me not knowing LOL

DS had nom from Senator 1 on portal even though he actually got it from Senator 2.

On the portal it will say which senator issued the nomination. Senator 1 is the senior senator and senator 2 is the junior senator. DS nomination came from junior senator however portal showed senator 1.

This confuses many. The senior/junior notation is a "rule of thumb" and not accurate in every state. There have been several examples in this nomination class where the "junior Senator" is senator 1 (USNA) or 61 (USMA) and vice versa. Congrats on the Senate nomination.

A little annoyed. Senator Markey's office said letters went out last week. Wouldn't that mean a yes or no letter. Still have not received anything. This is so odd.

It's a shame that some MOCs fail to notify candidates who don't get their nomination. I called last week an a staffer said letters would come "in a few days." I am disappointed in the lack of communication. He and his staff should know better IMO.

Mail is not that slow and when called you think they could just tell you yes or no.

My DS found out he got a nomination from one of our senators via his USMA portal, then checked USAFA portal and found a nomination from the senator. We assumed it was the same senator until last week he got a letter from that senator saying he nominated him for USAFA, with no mention of USMA. So now we think maybe his West Point nom came from the other senator but seriously have had ZERO communication with his office. No email saying they received the application, no interview, no notification of any kind saying you are nominated. It's very strange to me but we are just grateful that DS has a nomination. (even though it is KILLING me not knowing for sure who it came from)

My DS just received the note from Senator Markey's office that he did not receive his nomination. Fortunately, he has one from his Congressman.

Hello! I was wondering if there was anyone out there from South Carolina applying and if y’all had heard anything?

    Thanks!
