It may be dependent on where you live. Our USMA Firstie was interviewed in Syracuse and our cadet candidate is scheduled for Syracuse as well. They have offices in several parts of the state.Last year Schumer conducted interviews in his Manhattan office and Gillibrand's interviews were in Albany. At least four years ago when our Firstie interviewed, Gillibrand and Schumer did theirs on the same day at the same place. They may have even combined interviews - memory is a little hazy on that score.Still no word from Schumer..... sounds like nothing went out yetMy DD got a call and then an email from Gillibrand today....very excited! She also just had her MOC interview a few days ago. Anyone have any feedback about Schumer?
If DD has not received mail or email from senator regarding recieving a nomination, but it shows up in their portal, is this finalized that they did indeed receive one?
DS got an email on Friday from Feinstein office to schedule a 30 minute phone interview. Have not heard from Harris office yet
Anxiously awaiting word from Cruz and Cornyn also! Wondering when?!Any notification from Senator Cruz or Cornyn yet?
No nothing from either Senators.Anyone heard from CA Senators Harris and Feinstein yet? I got both of my postcards back, but haven't been contacted.
Son is a reapplicant and didn't hear back from them until January. If they are consistent with last year you'll either receive a phone call (nomination) or a letter of non-selection in the mail.Anxiously awaiting word from Cruz and Cornyn also! Wondering when?!
MOST senators committee's do not interview all applicants; the volume is just too great (this from conversing with fellow ALO's around the country). In AZ...they are selective; they will "rack and stack" applications, looking at SAT/ACT scores, GPA's, and things like that, much like the academy will. From there they pick the number they choose to interview. I can use one of our senators as an example as I worked on his nomination board in the past. There might be 500 applicants in the state; we'd interview about 125-135 total.
At least in this state, it's MUCH harder to get a senatorial interview than a congressional one.
