State Nomination Threads - Moderated

My buddy that lives down the road got both rejections from Cruz and Cornyn. I only have one from Cruz. Wonder what’s happening....

Not sure. I know they get about 600+ applications, and they coordinate with many of the MOCs to not double nominate. DS is still waiting to hear from the MOC.

Wait, in a previous post, you said you have 2 nominations! Congratulations! Some candidates from competitive districts are only eligible for a single nomination to one service academy.
 
Haven't heard back from VA-08 (Beyer). I am pretty sure I didn't get the nomination because I was never asked to do an interview and haven't received a portal/letter notification.
 
Anyone hear about noms from Senators Schumer or Gillibrand in New York or Congressman King-NY 02? Pretty sure they all completed interviews in early December.
 
DS finally received letter from Senator Kaine (VA) today. It says he cannot offer a nomination but cites that DS already has a nom [presidential] and they do coordinate to ensure maximum Virginians receive noms. Perhaps that's just his way of being polite. Well at least we can stop wondering about that piece of the puzzle [emoji16]
 
DS received same rejection letter from Senator Kaine and then a rejection from Rep today. Stay focused, stay positive.
 
To anyone from MA: Warren’s office just sent out emails to schedule USMA interviews, which are this Saturday and Sunday. Not sure about other academies
 
Just called Lowey's (NY-17) office. They said they sent out letters about two weeks ago. When I told them I didn't receive anything they said that I did get a nomination but my letter must have gotten lost somewhere. So that's a little annoying, but I'm just happy to get a nom!

Now 3Q + Nom + LOE. Very happy :)
 
Is it better to get a nomination from a senator or representative or is there no difference in terms of how likely one would get accepted?
