Also received an email from Richard Burr, super stoked for the interview.

...But now it looks like he's received two more nominations from the same source, on the same day.......which doesn't make any sense to us.
Is this a typo? Is there any way to figure out the source of WI62? At this point we're guessing it's Senator Baldwin.
was wondering the same thing and maybe if they talk between the offices; I know texas has TONS of asks. we're also a full week behind on receiving mail so I don't even know if there's a letter inbound for the one he did get from rep.Anyone else heard from Cornyn or Cruz? My DS received USAFA Principle and USNA alternate from MOC but nothing from state, not even 'thanks but no thanks' letter. Fingers crossed for USMA from either of them.
Hi Pima & cptenca,
Thank you both for the insight. From what you've said, and from a few other things I found in the last two hours, it looks like Senator Tammy Baldwin nominated DS to both of the slates she has for this year. I hope that being nominated to three slates by two sources increases his chances of an appointment.
Awesome!!!! My DS got one from VA-11. Always nice to see other VA's here. I wish the best for your DS!!Son got a nomination from the USNA from Don Beyer (VA-08). Informed via US Mail yesterday.
We are trying to keep expectations in check - but - given how very competitive Northern Virginia is - we take it as a positive sign.

The way it works is simple. Your DS has 3 noms. He will compete against everyone on each slate. Highest WCS wins the apptmt. for that MOC slate. At the end if he doesn't win a nom from one of those 3 slates, he will move onto the national pool.
Greetings Nomination fans!
I've got a peculiar question for you people of knowledge & wisdom. This morning DS did his daily check of his candidate portals and noticed a change in his USMA Nominations section. It reads like this:
WI06 Dec 6, 2018
WI62 Dec 20, 2018
WI62 Dec 20, 2018
The first nomination is from our Congressman Glenn Grothman (Wisconsin 6th District). Back on December 1st DS received a letter from Senator Ron Johnson congratulating him on his nominations to all four SAs from Congressman Glenn Grothman, then it said this "The Wisconsin congressional delegation works collaboratively to give all qualified applicants from Wisconsin the greatest opportunity to compete for a limited number of service academy nominations. We make every effort to avoid duplicate nominations to any academy." DS hasn't heard anything yet from Senator Tammy Baldwin's office. But now it looks like he's received two more nominations from the same source, on the same day.......which doesn't make any sense to us.

Contact your congressman to ensure you were nominated twice. My portal shows two nominations from my district... it is an error.
Skipper07,
That's good advice, DS says he'll contact Senator Baldwin's office to confirm the his nomination status. But, I'm just wondering, did your congressman's office confirm that your apparent double nomination was an error? Every congressman does get a double slate every four years, and others on this forum have said that they've seen double noms from a single source in the past.
Be careful, I read the same thing and assumed when DS received a nomination from FL61 that he had been nominated by our Senior Senator Bill Nelson, only to find out a week later than my son had been nominated by our Junior Senator Marco Rubio who indeed is FL61.
Therefore, in Florida is exactly the opposite the Junior Senator is 61 and the Senior Senator Bill Nelson is 62.
Bill Nelson just lost the elections so next year in Florida the statement that the Senior Senator is #1 will be accurate being that Rick Scott is about to become the Junior Senator.
Has anyone received a nomination from Senator Portman or Senator Brown?
I believe that is Senator Brown. Which academy did he receive a Senatorial nomination to?Has anyone received a nomination from Senator Portman or Senator Brown?
Son received a nomination from Senator Brown on 12/20/19.
His portal reads OH62. Is this the senator? His congressional is not recorded yet on USMA, USNA or USAFA.
