Just checking again to see if any Missouri applicants have heard from Senator Blunt yet?
We are in MO-04 and and received noms from our Rep and McCaskill, but haven’t heard from Senator Blunt yet.

Anyone hear from Virginia senators??
My DS heard from VA senators some time ago. I actually saw someone from VA that was on the appointment list. So, pretty sure they have come out. I'm not sure why you didn't hear from them either way. Good luck!
Just received snail mail denial from Kaine when I returned from family trip last night. Nothing from Warner. I have a congressional nom but from a tough district. In Kaines letter it does explicitly say they communicate to not double up Noms but was hoping anyway just to increase chances. Did your DS hear from Warner? Best of luck!
My DS heard from Warner as well but it was some time after Kaine I would say more than two weeks. We then heard from 11th district and got a nomination from him around Dec 10.My DS actually was appointed to the Prep School. Which I think is a perfect option for him. If you have a congressional nom that's great !!! A nomination is a nomination and you only need one! None the less I hope you hear back soon and best of luck!! I did hear that they do communicate and usually try to spread the wealth.
Congrats to your DS!!!!
I would jump on prep/naps in a second. That is awesome. I did know of an applicant last year who received USMA nom from a senator and congresswoman last year from our district so was hoping. Just have to wait!!!

No worries. Do we know if Sen.Warren has set up interviews for USNA yet? We have heard from our Congressman and Senator Markey, but nothing from Sen. Warren's office.

My top choice is USNA and I've heard nothing from her office. Based off of some posters on this forum she's interviewed USMA and USAFA kids in waves by academy. I'm hoping to hear from her soon! I read some old MA senate threads on here that are since closed, and sometimes she doesn't even contact kids until Feb 1st telling them it's a no. Her process is supposedly very cryptic. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Let me know if you hear anything!

We have not heard from Blunt yet either. DS has principal nom from Graves and nom from McCaskill.

My DS interviewed with Warren in mid-December for USMA and the staff told us USNA was on another weekend. Of course she only considers you for your top choice so I have no further insight into when those were held, only that I had the impression it was close in time.

Son was contacted via email from Feinstein on Jan 2. Feinstein's office is coordinating nominations with Congressional offices.
Interesting, so the coordination is happening. Did your DS receive a nom from both Senator Feinstein and your congressperson?

Looks like Senator Burr in NC has sent out interview date for Saturday according to above posts. DD hasn’t heard anything from his office. Wishing you all good luck in 2 days! Go get it!

DS received an email from Burr on 12/20 stating the interviews are Jan 5. DS got another email today asking us to RSVP and they would get back to us with an interview time. He is interviewing for USAFA. Fingers crossed. [emoji51]

If Burr has kept it the same from years past than he has a good shot, basically if he has 1 slate to nom., than the committee will only interview @20 candidates.
Burr historically has never given principal noms. He submits the slate unranked. IOWS, the SA gets the ability to select the charge. When my DS got Burrs nom. He interviewed on Sat. By Tuesday or Weds he had the letter in hand (snail mail) congratulating him on receiving the nom.
~ My guess is the committee handed over to the staff that day. It is a boiler plate congrat letter, so all the staff had to do was place their name in and address the envelope.

Burr will not be there. The interview is @15 mins. They asked all types of questions, that was personalize for my DS's resume. The oddball question was what was the last book you read that was not assigned to you for school and why? During the interview they found out he was an AF brat. My hubby was in the waiting area. The committee scared the crap out of my DS and asked for my DH to come into the room after the interview. Scared/shocked DH too. All they wanted to do was to shake his hand and thank him for his service to the country. They spoke to him for about 5 mins about his career, did not ask if we supported his decision or anything about our DS.
~ I put that out there in case they ask to say hi to the parents.
