I am a BGO that lives in NJ-11 and some of my schools are in NJ-11 and some in NJ-5. NJ-11 is one of the most competitive districts in the state and the competition is tougher than NJ-5. One of my "BGO kids" has an appointment for the class that is about to enter and he is from NJ-5 but I believe that he would be competitive in NJ-11 as well.It all depends on who the competition is in any given year, and how many slots that elected rep has available.
Yeah it really depends on what district you live in and how competitive that district is in your given year. What district are you in, if you don’t mind me asking?
NJ-11

Earlier in this thread it was asked if the Senators and MOCs coordinated appointments. I serve on the interview panels for Menendez and Booker. Their staffs hold the interviews together as has been the practice in NJ for many years and the staffs DO collaborate/coordinate so nobody should get a nom from both of them. As for the MOCs, I am familiar with the processes for several of them and they do NOT collaborate/coordinate with the Senators.
